The YMCA of Greater Boston seeks an Aquatics Director for the Charlestown branch. You will supervise all facets of the Aquatics Department, oversee lifeguards and swim instruction, and ensure safety, quality, and exceptional member service.

You will hire and train staff, develop programs, oversee payroll, and maintain staff certifications, while collaborating with Operations leadership and attending leadership meetings. A Bachelor's degree and YMCA Lifeguarding certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• YMCA Lifeguarding certification; cross over to YMCA certification within six months if Red Cross certified.
• At least two years experience in instruction and management of aquatics programs and pool maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and oversee aquatic programs reflecting community needs and YMCA standards.
• Ensure pools meet health and safety standards and supervise facility safety.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate paid staff and volunteers; ensure certifications are on file.
• Lead the Aquatics Team and follow Safety guidelines.
• Complete safety and quality documentation and drills on schedule.
• Provide leadership for CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen training.
