Job summary

The Hockomock Area YMCA in Foxboro is seeking an Aquatics Director to lead our indoor/outdoor pools and aquatic programs. You will supervise Lifeguards and Swim Instructors, manage program quality, staff development, scheduling, safety, and budgeting to deliver a welcoming member experience.

The role requires a BA, Lifeguard/CPR certifications, and prior aquatics management; strong relationship-building and organizational skills are essential to drive community-focused programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
• Prior Aquatics management experience, preferably in a Y environment.
• Strong relationship building skills and supervisory skills.
• Well organized.
• Experience with budget management.
• Prior Lifeguard and/or Swim Instructor experience.
• Ability to problem-solve in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Maintain current certification in: YMCA Lifeguard Certification, YMCA Swim Instructor Certification, YMCA Swim Trainer Certification, First Aid and CPR Certificate, PALS - Principles of Aquatics Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the branch’s indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, and splash pad, while leading a team of Lifeguards and Swim Instructors.
• Responsible for program quality, staff development, scheduling, safety, budgeting, and community-focused programming.
