Lake Superior YMCA in Duluth, MN seeks an Aquatics Lead to supervise staff, manage programming, and oversee operations in the aquatics area. This part-time role supports the Aquatics Director and promotes a welcoming, safe environment for members of all ages.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining pool safety and records, coordinating lessons and rentals, and providing excellent member service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Aquatics programming.
• Certifications: Certified lifeguard, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and Basic First Aid.
• Willing to obtain YMCA instructor certifications as needed.
• Qualified candidates demonstrate ability to supervise staff and coordinate programming.

Responsibilities

• Supervise aquatics staff and volunteers; evaluate performance and motivate team.
• Maintain safe, engaging aquatic environments; support skill development for all ages.
• Deliver high-quality customer service; respond to member inquiries professionally.
• Monitor pool operations; ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; track chemical levels.
• Oversee swim lessons, private lessons, and facility rentals; coordinate scheduling.
