Job summary

EXOS in Minneapolis, MN is hiring a Head Lifeguard to lead aquatics operations and ensure safety. The role involves frontline customer service, coordinating emergency responses, managing lifeguard rotations, and communicating schedules to staff and patrons.

The position requires current accredited Lifeguarding Certification (or ability to obtain), CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain), and prior lifeguard experience or swim instruction background.

Qualifications

• Current accredited Lifeguarding Certification or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire.
• Prior experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Address patron concerns and provide frontline customer service
• Coordinate emergency response efforts per YWCA's Emergency Action Plan
• Communicate schedule changes and updates to staff and patrons
• Ensure lifeguard rotation and break schedules are followed
• Adjust water features and programs to suit patron needs
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the Aquatics Area
• Track and replenish first aid and safety supplies
• Assist with administrative and programming duties as assigned
• Provide lifeguard or swim instruction coverage when needed
