Job summary

EXOS in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach multiple levels and age groups, plan lessons, demonstrate skills, and monitor student progress in a safety-conscious setting.

You will maintain accurate records, communicate progress to students and parents, enforce facility rules, and attend trainings to uphold a professional image. Must be 16+ with CPR/AED and First Aid certified, and Lifeguarding certification or able to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain them at hire.
• Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or ability to obtain at hire.
• Prior lifeguarding or swim teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Teach levels and age groups according to guidelines.
• Plan lessons, drills and evaluate student progress.
• Demonstrate skills, correct performance and minimize fear.
• Maintain safe, positive teaching environment and accurate records.
• Communicate progress to students and parents when appropriate.
• Enforce facility rules and participate in trainings.
