Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard Lead to supervise aquatic safety and deliver a positive, youth-focused environment. You will monitor pool areas, enforce rules, conduct safety tests, assist with aquatics audits, and mentor other lifeguards during shifts.

Required certifications and fitness for rescue remain essential. Flexible scheduling and training opportunities are provided to support growth within the YMCA.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard experience and strong safety mindset required.
• Demonstrated ability to enforce pool rules and respond to emergencies.
• Must maintain current lifeguard certifications and state health codes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool decks and aquatic areas to ensure safety.
• Perform pool maintenance and safety checks as needed.
• Lead and mentor other lifeguards during shifts and drills.
• Assist with aquatics audits, drills, and skills evaluations.
