Modern Woodmen of America, located in Rock Island, IL, seeks a proactive, detail‑oriented support specialist for the Underwriting team to obtain Attending Physician Statements (APS) from medical providers nationwide. This role emphasizes clear communication, persistence, and timely, accurate processing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Proactive, analytical, and capable of problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Order APS from medical providers by contacting offices or copying reports.
• Research provider contact information online.
• Maintain a record of communications for each request.
• Follow-up with providers until APS is received.
• Notify underwriter of any obstructions or questions about the APS.
• Email special authorizations to the Financial Representative of record.
• Distribute the APS via internal workflow system.
• Record and reconcile payments.
