Job summary

Modern Woodmen of America seeks a Technical Support Administrator I to keep employees connected and supported with technology. The role emphasizes hands-on IT support, scripting, endpoint management, and collaboration across teams.

You will contribute to the laptop lifecycle program, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain firmware and endpoint applications. This position is based at the Rock Island, IL home office with full-time onsite hours.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 1+ year related work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of laptop/PC hardware and Windows software; IT Help Desk processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to install, configure, and upgrade Windows applications.
• LOMA Level I within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, installation, testing and monitoring of end-user and endpoint computing environments.
• Perform system administration and management duties for endpoint infrastructure systems.
• Provide Tier 2+ support by root-cause analysis and bug resolution.
• Create and manage PowerShell, Python scripts and other scripting languages.
• Use endpoint tools like Microsoft Intune, BigFix, ControlUp, and Defender for admin tasks.
• Coordinate equipment pickup/delivery between locations.
• Provide diagnostic testing on laptops and document findings.
• Support Hardware Operations Center and firmware for end user devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure workflow continuity.
• Work with Information Security on securing on-prem and cloud infra.
