Job summary

Arapahoe County is seeking an Apprenticeship Coordinator to lead outreach and act as a technical expert for launching, expanding, and recruiting for registered apprenticeship programs statewide. The role requires residency in Colorado during tenure and will serve the Southern Colorado region.

The position coordinates with multiple state and county partners, develops resources, and promotes grant initiatives to strengthen workforce development through RAP, YRAP, and pre-apprenticeships.

Responsibilities

• Proactively networks to generate new opportunities for apprenticeship programs as a workforce development tool.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for RAP, YRAP, and high-quality pre-apprenticeships for partners.
• Coordinate statewide apprenticeship efforts with CDLE, DVR, and other departments.
• Consult with business executives and conduct worksite visits to assess viability of RAP as a training tool.
• Create technical assistance resources for employers interested in RAP and guide program development.
• Identify informational and financial resources available to employer sponsors for development and sustainability of RAP programs.
• Collaborate with CDLE apprenticeship staff, Arapahoe/Douglas Works!, and partners as the Apprenticeship Hub.
• Represent Arapahoe/Douglas Works! at meetings to promote apprenticeship initiatives and workforce development.
• Develop a network of stakeholders across public and private sectors to expand and promote programs.
• Prepare and deliver apprenticeship training to stakeholders.
