Job summary

Radford University is seeking a Teacher Apprenticeship Coordinator to lead and coordinate the Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program. The role ensures compliance, aligns university coursework with licensure requirements, and supports apprentices through evaluation, advising, and professional development.

The coordinator will work with K–12 partners, oversee documentation, and drive cohort-based learning to address regional workforce needs.

Qualifications

• Hold a master’s degree in education by contract start date.
• Teaching endorsement in elementary and/or special education required.
• At least 3 years of public-school teaching experience.
• Experience teaching courses within the inclusive elementary program.
• Experience supporting teacher candidates in preK-6 field settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational aspects of the Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Maintain records related to apprentice enrollment, employment status, mentor assignments, on-the-job hours, and milestones.
• Ensure alignment among apprenticeship requirements, university coursework, licensure, and school practices.
• Collect and analyze program data on recruitment, retention, completion, and licensure outcomes.
• Assist with grant reports, internal summaries, and documentation for accountability and funding.
