Summer Search in Bannockburn, IL is seeking a Career Navigator to coach apprentices and mentor managers in partnership with Aon. You will support workplace readiness, track progress, and help students navigate barriers to participation.

This role requires 3–5+ years in workforce development, strong relationship-building, project management, and basic Microsoft Suite skills. It is an in‑person, non‑exempt role with travel to Chicago; pay is $38.97–$40.51 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in workforce development or career advising.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Project management skills and ability to manage multiple workflows.
• Ability to work with external partners and vendors.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Apprentice Support & Coaching: conduct intake assessments, meet apprentices regularly, provide coaching and referrals, track attendance and progress, develop Success Plans with partners.
• Manager Engagement: connect with managers monthly, share feedback, facilitate constructive guidance.
• Program Monitoring & Communication: support graduates meeting requirements, document critical situations.
• Professional Development Program: plan monthly sessions, coordinate logistics, track participation.
• Other Duties: assist with recruiting and engagement events.
