Job summary

Summer Search, headquartered in Chicago, IL, seeks a Career Navigator to coach apprentices and guide managers within the Aon partnership. The role focuses on workplace readiness, success planning, and cross-team collaboration to remove barriers for early‑career participants.

Reporting to program leadership, you will balance direct coaching with program coordination, ensuring timely progress and high-quality support across the two-year mentorship track.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE: 3-5+ years in workforce development or career advising, preferably with early-career individuals.
• ACCOUNTABILITY: Responsible for processes and outcomes to support students and stakeholders.
• PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Strong organizational and multi-workflow management skills.

Responsibilities

• Apprentice Support & Coaching: conduct intake, weekly/biweekly meetings, provide referrals, track status.
• Manager Engagement: monthly check-ins with managers, share feedback, encourage collaboration.
• Program Monitoring & Communication: support graduation requirements and document risks.
• Professional Development Program: plan monthly in-person sessions, coordinate logistics.
• Other Duties: assist with recruiting, engagement activities, and events.
