Job summary

Summer Search is seeking a Career Navigator in Bannockburn, IL to partner with Aon and support apprentices and their managers. Reporting to the Lead Business Development Associate, you will provide individualized coaching, manage intake assessments, and help apprentices navigate workplace readiness over a two-year program.

This non-exempt role offers an hourly rate of 38.97–40.51 USD, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), generous time off, and travel to regional offices as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in workforce development or career advising, preferably with early career individuals.
• Ability to build relationships with students, staff, and partners.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments with apprentices and managers to align goals and needs.
• Meet apprentices regularly to support readiness, skills development, and growth.
• Provide coaching and referrals for barriers affecting participation.
• Track engagement, attendance, and case notes using provided tools.
• Develop individualized Success Agreement Plans with stakeholders.
• Communicate with managers monthly about progress and feedback.
• Assist with recruitment and engagement activities for the program.
• Support graduation requirements and monitor two-year program progression.
