Entergy Texas, Inc.-GTX is seeking an Apprentice 1st Step for on-site work in The Woodlands, TX. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Lineworker Training program or prior demonstrated linework experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform less difficult tasks and assist others in high and low voltage line work involved in construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution systems up to 600 volts.
• Use pole climbing equipment and climb poles safely and efficiently.
• Assist in erecting wood and steel structures, including foundations.
• Assist in wiring and installing poles, racks, grounds, and hardware.
• Assist in simple transmission and distribution switching under supervision.
• Prepare reports and records of tasks performed.
• Operate company trucks and automobiles; maintain valid Class A CDL.
