Job summary

Entergy seeks Apprentice Linemen to construct, build, and maintain OH/UG electric facilities up to 15 KV. Primary duties include installation, maintenance, transformer wiring, regulators, and safe operation of trucks and equipment.

Applicants must complete an accredited Lineworker Training program or have demonstrated linework experience. Onsite work with travel up to 25% and strong safety focus required.

Qualifications

• Lineworker Training program completion or prior linework experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove and maintain OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
• Install OH/UG transformers and wire transformer banks.
• Install and wire regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.
• Drive various sizes and types of trucks and operate bucket/digger equipment.
• Read and interpret job prints and sketches; identify materials and functions.
• Set and climb poles in open areas and energized lines; perform on-call duties.
