Job summary

Entergy Texas, Inc.-GTX is hiring Apprentices for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year lineworker roles in Beaumont, TX. The program covers installing and maintaining high and low voltage lines, poles and structures, plus safety and report preparation responsibilities.

Apprentices work under supervision and may advance through the year-by-year ladder. Responsibilities include handling poles, rigging, basic transmission tasks, and assisting qualified linemen, with a focus on safety, workflow, and skill

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Lineworker Training program OR prior demonstrated linework experience.
• Ability to perform less difficult tasks under close supervision.
• Must be willing to learn and assist in high/low voltage line work.

Responsibilities

• Use pole climbing equipment and ascend poles safely.
• Install poles, erect structures, and install hardware.
• Make up and install guys and secondaries; connect services on energized conductors up to 600V.
• Assist in transmission/distribution switching and routine inspections.
• Assist in installation/maintenance of street lighting and conduit systems.
• Operate company trucks and maintain records.
