Job summary

Entergy Arkansas, LLC is seeking Apprentice Linemen for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year levels. Duties include constructing, maintaining OH/UG lines up to 15kV, transformers, regulators, and related equipment.

Field tasks involve pole setting/climbing, operating bucket/digger derrick trucks, and readiness for on-call emergencies. Candidates must live within 20 miles of the Little Rock location, pass safety standards, and be able to work extended hours and potentially out-of-town assignments.

Qualifications

• Must live within 20 miles of work location.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments as required.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to take and understand directives with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove and maintain OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
• Install OH/UG transformers and wiring of transformer banks.
• Install wiring of regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.
• Drive trucks and operate various equipment including bucket trucks and digger derrick trucks.
• Read job prints and sketches; recognize materials and their function.
• Set and climb poles in various environments; participate in on-call duty and emergencies.
