Job summary

Entergy Texas, Inc. seeks Apprentice 1st through 3rd Year Lineman to support construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution systems in Beaumont, TX.

Under close supervision, you will perform a range of tasks from pole climbing to installing hardware and assisting qualified linemen on energized circuits up to 600 volts. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Lineworker Training program or prior demonstrated linework experience.
• Ability to use pole climbing equipment and perform basic lineman tasks on high/low voltage lines.
• Must obtain/maintain a valid Class A CDL (CDL) during the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution systems.
• Perform tasks under supervision including pole installation, wiring, and basic inspection.
• Assist in equipment handling, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Operate company trucks and vehicles as needed.
• Follow safety rules and work in extreme conditions.
