Entergy Texas, Inc.-GTX is seeking an Apprentice 1st Step for on-site work in The Woodlands, TX. Under close supervision, you will perform less difficult linework tasks and assist qualified linemen in the construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution systems up to 600 volts.
Responsibilities include using pole climbing equipment, installing poles and structures, tying knots, assisting in inspections, preparing reports, operating company vehicles, and obtaining a valid
Under close supervision, as an apprentice in training, must be willing and able to perform the less difficult tasks and assist others in high and low voltage line work involved in the construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution conductors, structures, underground systems, and related equipment, and be qualified to do the following and related work as assigned:

Apprentice 1st Year: Completion of an accredited Lineworker Training program OR prior demonstrated linework experience required.
As a condition of employment this position requires a pre-employment Fitness for Duty exam.
