Job summary

Texas Co-op is seeking multiple positions from entry-level Lineman Helper to Journeyman/1st Class Lineman. Responsibilities include assisting in construction, maintenance, and installation of electric distribution lines and equipment across service areas.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, with pole climbing training for apprentices and CPR/First Aid certification. On-call and travel to field locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Lineman progression paths require pole climbing training; apprenticeships available.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Assist linemen in construction, replacement, and maintenance of electric distribution lines and equipment.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of underground cables and meters.
• Operate line trucks and heavy equipment safely and proficiently.
• Follow safety procedures and report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Travel to various field locations within the service territory as needed.
