Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Research Engineer to bridge deep technical work with field readiness. You will embed with product teams, test new models, build demos, and prepare field teams for launches.

You will translate customer insights into actionable improvements for product and research roadmaps, collaborating closely with Sales, Product, and Research. You will join a team that values clear communication, domain expertise, and safe, beneficial AI.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in technical roles with some customer exposure.
• Translate learnings into enablement materials or tools for others.
• Strong programming language proficiency and software systems knowledge.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) in production or products.
• Experience designing evals, prototypes, or technical enablement materials.
• Ability to rapidly learn new product areas and domains.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Team player with a go‑to‑market mindset and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Embed with product teams to build domain expertise for new products.
• Own the technical GTM handshake for model and product launches.
• Build demos, evals, and prototypes demonstrating capabilities.
• Create enablement materials and training for Applied AI teams.
• Engage with strategic customers to address novel challenges.
• Synthesize learnings into signals to influence product roadmaps.
