Figma is seeking an AI Engineer, Internal Tools, to work with teams across GTM, Finance, People, Legal, Support and more to identify AI opportunities, prototype quickly, and productionize AI agents and workflows.

You will implement robust, observable production systems, integrate with enterprise data, and build reusable components with Platform & Tooling and Infrastructure, enabling scalable AI across the company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production applications.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, agents, retrieval-augmented generation, function calling, or evaluation frameworks.
• Experience taking an AI application or workflow from prototype to production.
• Strong API, integration, and system design fundamentals with enterprise data sources.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into technical solutions and move quickly to prototype.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams across GTM, Finance, People, Legal, Support to identify high-value AI opportunities.
• Design, build, and productionize AI agents, assistants, and workflow automations using LLMs and enterprise data.
• Integrate AI applications with enterprise systems and data sources across multiple functions.
• Build evaluations and feedback loops to measure accuracy, reliability, and business impact.
• Design deterministic guardrails and human-in-the-loop controls for critical workflows.
