Job summary

Figma is seeking an AI Engineer, Internal Tools, to partner with teams across GTM, Finance, People, Legal, Support and more to productionize AI applications and guardrails. You’ll design and build AI agents, integrations, and workflow automations, ensure observability, security, and data integrity, and help scale Applied AI across the company.

This full-time role can be remote across the United States, with a competitive base salary and equity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production applications or AI-powered products.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, agents, retrieval-augmented generation, function calling, or structured outputs.
• Experience taking AI applications to production with reliability and security.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into technical AI solutions with stakeholders.
• Strong API, integration, and system design fundamentals across multiple data sources.

Responsibilities

• Partner with GTM, Finance, People, Legal, Support to identify AI opportunities.
• Design, build, and productionize AI agents and workflow automations using LLMs and APIs.
• Integrate AI apps with enterprise systems and data sources.
• Create evaluations and feedback loops to measure impact and accuracy.
• Define guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, and secure production patterns.
• Build observable, secure, production-ready AI systems with proper auth and auditing.
• Develop shared AI components and platform capabilities with Internal AI teams.
