Job summary

Lightserve Corporation’s Electrical Power Solutions (EPS) seeks a Manager of Applications Engineering to lead technical development and execution support for EPC projects across the lifecycle. You will mentor the Applications Engineering team, coordinate with BD, Estimating, Operations, Procurement, and Customers, and ensure designs are sound, compliant, and constructible.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Valid Electrical PE license required.
• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience in power generation, distributed energy, utility, industrial, or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of BESS, generator systems, microgrids, and MV/LV distribution.
• Experience with EPC project development and execution.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and power system analysis software (ETAP/SKM/EasyPower).
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NESC, and utility standards.
• Experience preparing technical proposals and supporting customer-focused development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Applications Engineering team across EPC projects.
• Provide technical leadership during pursuit activities and design reviews.
• Develop competitive proposals, scopes of work, and engineering narratives.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards across energy projects.
• Oversee preliminary engineering deliverables (SLDs, layouts, load flow, protection studies).
• Serve as technical authority and sign/seal projects as needed.
• Coordinate interconnections, permitting, and AHJ requirements with utilities and ISOs.
• Collaborate with PM, Procurement, Construction to ensure constructability and schedule.
• Mentor engineers and drive safety and quality improvements.
• Travel to customer locations and project sites as needed.
