Job summary

Alicat Scientific in Tucson, AZ seeks a Technical Sales & Support Engineer to be the frontline technical advisor for customers, helping choose solutions and drive sales conversions. You will craft quotes, troubleshoot applications, and coordinate with engineering and marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field (preferred).
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication.
• Interest or experience in fluid control, instrumentation, or automation.
• Familiarity with aerospace, bioprocessing, chemistry, environmental science, semiconductor tech, or optical sciences is a plus.
• Bonus for experience in technical sales, customer support, or application engineering.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for inbound inquiries via phone, email, and live chat.
• Qualify customer needs and recommend tailored solutions aligned with technical and business goals.
• Build accurate, application-specific quotes and follow up to drive conversions.
• Support OEMs and distribution partners with quoting and technical guidance.
• Enter and manage sales and service orders; maintain CRM records and customer history.
