Job summary

AMETEK Inc. is seeking a Sales Applications Specialist for the Chatillon portfolio, covering force measurement, materials testing, and weighing solutions. You will advise customers, convert inquiries to opportunities, and support key accounts across multiple channels.

You will collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to enhance online content, tools, and FAQs, while enabling digital sales and improving the e-commerce buying experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in engineering, physical sciences, industrial technology, business, or related technical field preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years in applications engineering, technical sales or product support in a related market
• Working knowledge of force measurement, materials testing, calibration, sensors, instrumentation, or mechanical testing equipment
• Strong ability to understand customer applications and recommend appropriate technical solutions
• Commercial mindset with the ability to convert inquiries and web leads into sales opportunities
• Experience supporting e-commerce, digital lead generation, online product tools, or customer self-service purchasing is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with CRM and ERP systems is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Provide application and product selection support for Chatillon force measurement, materials testing, torque, and weighing products.
• Respond to customer, distributor, and sales inquiries through phone, email and other digital channels.
• Convert technical inquiries, web leads, and customer application needs into qualified sales opportunities.
• Support key customer accounts, particularly where application expertise is required to win or retain business.
• Partner with sales teams to progress opportunities through Salesforce CRM or quote direct through e-commerce tools.
• Work with Marketing to improve e-commerce product listings, technical specifications, FAQs, online selection tools, and customer-facing technical content.
• Identify opportunities to upsell accessories, software, calibration services, and complementary products.
• Provide product and market feedback to Product Management and Engineering to support product improvements and new product introductions.
• Develop and deliver customer and internal training materials, webinars, demonstrations, application notes, and technical documentation.
• Monitor competitive products, applications, and digital sales approaches to strengthen Chatillon's market position
