Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor for customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders, delivering engineered solutions for complex scientific and industrial applications.

You will analyze requirements, develop technical proposals, coordinate with Engineering and Sales, and support opportunities from initial consultation through order execution, including domestic and international accounts in high-technology markets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related physical science discipline.
Minimum of 5 years in applications engineering, technical sales, systems engineering, or related customer-facing technical role.
Experience supporting complex capital equipment or high-technology products.
Experience using Salesforce and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical resource for customer applications, providing guidance on engineered solutions and product capabilities.
Engage with domestic and international customers, research institutions, OEMs, and strategic accounts to understand technical requirements and business objectives.
Analyze customer specifications, application requirements, facility conditions, and performance expectations to recommend optimal solutions.
Support customer visits, virtual meetings, and technical discussions to evaluate applications and address technical challenges.
Develop technical proposals, quotations, presentations, and application recommendations.
Collaborate with sales teams to support opportunity development, customer engagement, and business growth initiatives.
Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Marketing teams to define product requirements and deliver customer solutions.
Support project coordination activities, including customer communications, order management, and scheduling updates.
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs to identify opportunities for product and market growth.
Contribute to the development of technical documentation and customer-facing content.
Utilize Salesforce.com and other business systems to manage opportunities and forecast.
