Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. through its VTI Instruments unit seeks an Applications Engineer in the Energy Conversion Solutions unit to bridge customers, products, and internal teams, delivering practical technical advice from pre-sale to post-sale support.

You will advise on product capabilities, troubleshoot challenges, and develop technical proposals with Sales, while mentoring junior staff and supporting training and content development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in applications engineering or customer-facing engineering roles.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S. and access to export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for VTI products and applications.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot customer challenges with recommendations.
• Collaborate with Sales/Product to develop technical proposals.
• Translate complex concepts into clear insights for customers and internal teams.
• Identify differentiators in competitive scenarios and support roadmap decisions.
• Take ownership of customer issues with timely resolution.
