Job summary

Grundfos GmbH in the United States is seeking an Applications Engineer to provide expert guidance on product selection, system design, and application optimization for high-purity water solutions. You will collaborate with Sales, prepare cost estimates, develop conceptual designs, evaluate equipment options, and support customers through meetings and technical turnover.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and have 5+ years of related experience; PE license

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of applications engineering, technical sales support, or system design.
• Strong understanding of high-purity water treatment processes, hydraulics, sanitary design principles, and water-quality requirements.
• Proficiency with engineering selection and sizing tools; ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical and commercial scope of proposed high-purity water treatment solutions.
• Develop conceptual system designs and perform preliminary engineering calculations for sizing and estimating.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and identify value-engineered alternatives to optimize system performance and cost.
• Research and evaluate equipment options based on technical suitability, availability, and pricing.
• Collaborate with Sales to align technical and commercial strategy for Grundfos solutions.
• Participate in customer meetings to provide technical support alongside Sales.
• Gather and maintain equipment costing data to support standardized estimating libraries.
• Obtain supplier quotations and coordinate with Purchasing for costs and lead times.
