Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to support internal and customer-facing web and mobile applications. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring application stability, resolving technical issues, maintaining platform health, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience supporting web and mobile applications in a production environment.
Strong experience troubleshooting enterprise application issues.
Experience working within Agile development environments.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues reported through ServiceNow, email, and collaboration tools.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and deliver timely resolutions.
Communicate issue status and resolution updates to stakeholders.
Ensure application availability and operational performance objectives are consistently met.
Maintain the health, stability, and performance of web and mobile applications.
Execute database queries and perform application updates as needed.
Monitor production environments and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
Support application releases and ongoing maintenance activities.
Partner with software engineers, cloud engineers, database admins, network and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
Work with Agile teams to identify recurring issues and drive long-term solutions.
Provide operational insights to support product improvements and customer experience.
Support and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and deployment processes.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous delivery practices.
Identify opportunities to improve automation, monitoring, and support processes.
Leverage metrics and trends to recommend enhancements across applications and services.
Develop and maintain reporting related to support tickets and application performance.
Analyze support trends and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
Provide operational metrics and insights to leadership and development teams.
