Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to support internal and customer-facing web and mobile applications. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience supporting web and mobile applications in a production environment.
- Strong experience troubleshooting enterprise application issues.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues reported through ServiceNow, email, and collaboration tools.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and deliver timely resolutions.
- Communicate issue status and resolution updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure application availability and operational performance objectives are consistently met.
- Maintain the health, stability, and performance of web and mobile applications.
- Execute database queries and perform application updates as needed.
- Monitor production environments and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
- Support application releases and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Partner with software engineers, cloud engineers, database admins, network and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
- Work with Agile teams to identify recurring issues and drive long-term solutions.
- Provide operational insights to support product improvements and customer experience.
- Support and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and deployment processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous delivery practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, monitoring, and support processes.
- Leverage metrics and trends to recommend enhancements across applications and services.
- Develop and maintain reporting related to support tickets and application performance.
- Analyze support trends and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
- Provide operational metrics and insights to leadership and development teams.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $86,000-105,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
