Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line seeks an experienced Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers in designing, building, and delivering enterprise solutions. You will work with architects, developers, and business users to align IT design standards with business processes, while delivering reliable code modules and integrated systems.

This full-time role emphasizes both technical coding and architectural mentorship, with a clear path for professional growth within a leading LTL

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of experience with database technologies.
• 5 years of SDLC experience.
• 3 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and high level design.
• Experience programming with RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on business requirements and functional specifications in logical program designs, code modules, application systems, and software solutions; support the project lifecycle with leadership input.
• Review development or modification of highly complex, enterprise level software solutions.
• 50/50 role with 50% design/mentorship/leadership and 50% hands-on delivery of code.
• Develop and validate highly complex software design prototypes, ensuring adherence to architecture standards.
• Mentor and advise others, sharing understanding of company methodologies, policies, and controls.
