Job summary

Lowe’s in Omaha, NE is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand their project needs, and guide them to the right Lowe’s products and services. You will become a product expert, explaining features, promotions, and financing options to close sales while delivering exceptional customer service.

You’ll work across departments based on hiring needs, assist with inventory, and support checkout and store operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience, or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met.
• 1 year of sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating the advantages of Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as department contact for customers and vendors; provide project estimates, schedule installer visits, process orders and follow up to ensure project completion.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels with vendors and stores to maintain stock.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and ensure maintenance of pricing and documentation.
• Support all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance.
• Train associates in the department with on-the-job training and coaching.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
