Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand project needs, and guide them toward home improvement solutions in a fast-paced store environment.

You will learn product specifications, promotions, and financing options to close a sale and support multiple departments such as Appliances, Flooring, and Live Nursery. This role offers bonus opportunities and growth within Lowe's.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience (or 3 years external if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience in a sales environment with goals or metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Lift a minimum of 25 lbs unassisted or with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as department point of contact, providing project estimates and coordinating installations.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors for stock.
• Perform price reviews according to pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist with store communications and requests.
• Train associates in the department through on-the-job coaching.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
