Job summary

Lowe’s is seeking a Sales Specialist to engage customers in-store, understand project needs, and guide them to the right Home Improvement solutions. You’ll become a product expert, discuss features, promotions, and financing to help close sales, and support customers in multiple departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with targets or metrics.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Lift 25 lbs unassisted, more with assistance as needed.
• May need sales-related licensure or registration if required by state, Lowe’s funds this.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and explaining Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as department point of contact for customers and vendors, handle estimates, installer visits, orders and follow-ups.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors to restock merchandise.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assist as needed.
• Train department associates on floor and coaching for development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
