Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Sales Specialist to assist customers with project needs and to close sales. You’ll become the product expert, explain specifications, promotions, and financing to help customers achieve home improvement goals.

You’ll work in departments like Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, and more, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and increased sales.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods; lift 25lbs.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe’s will support and fund).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating advantages of Lowe’s products.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, provide project estimates, schedule installer visits, and track orders.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and store communications.
• Train associates in the department and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
