Job summary

BSH Home Appliances Corporation in Irvine seeks a Technical Training Designer to create and deliver appliance repair training. You will design instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced online courses and develop engaging digital assets using Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite.

You will ensure accessibility, build assessments, and collaborate across Product Support, Technical Support, and Field Service teams to support evolving appliance technologies.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in instructional design, education, technical communication or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3–5 years of experience creating technical training or eLearning content in appliance/heating or similar mechanical/electrical service sectors.
• Proficiency with Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise) and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong writing skills, ability to explain complex concepts simply and clearly.
• Knowledge of instructional design methods (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theory.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMEs to gather technical information and translate it into clear, structured learning content.
• Design and develop instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and self-paced eLearning courses for appliance repair training.
• Create digital assets including interactive modules, simulations, instructor manuals, and knowledge checks.
• Develop assessments to measure learner retention and job performance readiness.
• Ensure materials meet accessibility standards (WCAG) and update content as models evolve.
• Work cross-functionally with Product Support, Technical Support, and Field Service teams.
• Manage development cycles with project management tools and support LMS integration.
