Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking an Appliance Service Technician for the Newburgh/Fishkill/Hopewell Junction/Middletown, NY area. You will diagnose and repair major appliances in customers’ homes, promote service contracts, and maintain vehicle and inventory while delivering outstanding customer service.

Role requires a HS diploma or GED and 1+ year experience in appliance repair, with a valid driver’s license and ability to pass checks. Training and benefits begin on day one.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass background check, physical, and drug screen.
• Must obtain CFC Certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on GE Appliances' major appliances.
• Advise customers on repair vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness.
• Promote service contracts, water filters, and related products.
• Operate the service van to customer locations.
• Document repairs, routes, and work activities.
• Participate in training and meetings to maintain expertise.
• Maintain inventory and vehicle upkeep.
• Deliver high-quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.
