Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking an Appliance Service Technician to service Manhattan, NY. You will diagnose and repair major GE appliances in customers' homes, advise on service plans, and drive value through smart recommendations and care.

This role requires hands-on repair skills, strong customer interaction, and the ability to operate a service van while maintaining documentation and safety standards. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances and provide strong customer service.
• Must have a valid driver's license and pass background check, physical, and drug screen.
• Willingness to obtain CFC Certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on GE Appliances' major appliances.
• Recommend repair vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs.
• Promote and sell service contracts and related products for value-driven solutions.
• Operate and maintain the assigned Bodewell service van and document work activities.
• Participate in training, meetings, and safety protocols.
