Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Sales Specialist to be one of the first faces customers meet. You will help customers select products, discuss project needs, and close sales by informing them about specifications, features, and financing options.

You will work in departments like Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, and more, engaging customers, answering questions, and promoting home improvement goals with a strong emphasis on service and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years of external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education isn’t met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with metrics/goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand needs and communicate advantages of Lowe's products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing orders, and following up for project completion.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores to find merchandise.
• Perform price reviews according to pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and respond to requests for assistance.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
