Job summary

LG Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician (DMST) to service appliances in the North Detroit, MI metro area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain LG products at customers' homes, while upholding LG's commitment to quality and safety.

The role requires travel within the North Detroit area, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers. LG offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a technical role, preferably appliance repair.
• Experience repairing major appliances (refrigeration, cooking, cleaning).
• Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and on-site diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing; EPA certification attainable.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform bending.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers to perform maintenance and repair.
• Use PPE, vehicle, and diagnostic tools safely.
• Diagnose problems and perform repairs or part replacements.
• Document findings and complete paperwork after each job.
• Pre-screen next-day calls by gathering info.
• Meet or exceed customer satisfaction and reliability metrics.
