Job summary

Groundswell is hiring an Appian Test Engineering Lead to support web-based applications with automation testing expertise. You will drive QA strategy, test environment design, and data planning while mentoring the testing team.

The role requires 5+ years in software testing, including automation, and leadership experience, with a focus on delivering quality in a hybrid/remote setting. You will work with Playwright and Selenium, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline.
• 5+ years of software testing experience with cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years of automation testing experience.
• Experience leading a team and mentoring junior members.
• Experience interpreting requirements and writing QA docs (Test Reports, Acceptance Criteria).
• Knowledge of Test Management, Automation tools and processes.
• Knowledge of Performance Testing process and cadence.
• Proficiency with Playwright and Selenium.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in remote/hybrid teams.
• U.S. citizen status for government requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the QA program and test strategy.
• Lead test environment design and test data planning.
• Mentor and evaluate testing staff.
• Plan, execute, and report on testing activities across DevOps lifecycle.
• Review and improve test documentation and reports.
• Develop test plans aligned with system requirements and data collection.
• Coordinate data collection and training for operators and testers.
• Review incident reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Support analysis of user requirements and design test plans.
• Collaborate with testing groups and communicate upgrades or issues.
