Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an Appian Business Analyst to partner with product teams and clients, translating requirements into Appian solutions. You will craft user stories, model processes, and collaborate across architecture, QA, and dev to deliver MVPs and enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in performing business analysis and refining requirements for information systems.
• Strong communication at all levels of an organization (written and verbal).
• Detail oriented with experience working on several products at one time.
• Experience with use cases, Agile user stories, and process modeling.
• Remote position with ability to work east coast hours as needed.
• US citizenship required for security clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Appian product teams and customers to generate requirements for Appian applications.
• Define MVPs for applications and support release plans with Product Dev Managers.
• Conduct requirement discovery, data modeling, process design, and data interface discovery.
• Lead discovery workshops with stakeholder teams to capture solution requirements.
• Collaborate with architects to define new/enhanced product requirements and functionality.
• Prioritize features aligned with the product roadmap.
• Deliver and maintain user engagement analytics to characterize users and support case studies.
• Write user stories with acceptance criteria for developers and QA.
• Refine requirements based on stakeholder input, sprint demos, and market feedback.
• Prepare estimates for user stories and participate in sprint planning.
• Participate in formal review and acceptance of implemented stories.
• Identify and manage risks; escalate when necessary.
• Design complex data models based on client requirements.
• Utilize TFS, Jira, and Github for project management.
