Job Summary
Responsible for managing reporting APPs and APP supervisors, including activities related to patient care, service line development, quality improvement, strategic planning, and policy enforcement. Oversees APP clinical work within scope or adherence to the Hospital Playbook. Assesses staffing effectiveness, experience, skill mix, and develops responsive staffing systems. Mentors, coaches, and manages administrative duties such as hiring, onboarding, orientation, performance evaluations, OPPE/FPPE, etc. Represents APPs to review agencies like Joint Commission and American College of Surgeons.
The position is typically 50% administrative and 50% clinical, or as determined by the APP Director or VP of APP Services.
This is a 40-hour position that may require off-shifts, weekends, and holidays. Provides leadership within the specialty service(s) with potential for expansion based on organizational needs.

Candidate Requirements
Physician Assistant: Current Michigan license, ARC-PA accredited program, NCCPA certification, Michigan Controlled Substance License, DEA registration, BLS (and possibly ACLS), 5+ years clinical, 2+ years leadership.
Nurse Practitioner: Current Michigan RN and NP licensure, accredited NP program, DEA registration, BLS (and possibly ACLS), 5+ years clinical, 2+ years leadership.
