Job Summary
Responsible for managing reporting APPs and APP supervisors, including activities related to patient care, service line development, quality improvement, strategic planning, and policy enforcement, ensuring APP clinical work aligns with the hospital's scope and policies. Assesses staffing effectiveness and develops responsive staffing systems. Mentors, coaches, and manages APP administrative duties such as hiring, onboarding, orientation, performance evaluations, and OPPE/FPPE. Represents APPs to external review bodies like the Joint Commission and American College of Surgeons.
The position is typically 50% administrative and 50% clinical, or as determined by the APP Director or VP of APP Services.
Note: This is a 40-hour position that may include off-shift hours, weekends, and holidays. The role provides leadership within the specialty service(s) with potential expansion to other APP teams based on organizational needs.

Qualifications
Physician Assistant Candidate: License, certification, DEA registration, BLS, 5+ years clinical, 2+ years leadership experience.
Nurse Practitioner Candidate: Licensure, certification, DEA registration, BLS, 5+ years clinical, 2+ years leadership experience.
