Job Summary
Responsible for managing reporting APPs and APP supervisors, including activities related to patient care, service line development, quality improvement, strategic planning, and policy enforcement. Ensures APP clinical work aligns with scope of practice and hospital policies. Assesses staffing effectiveness, skill mix, and develops responsive staffing systems. Mentors, coaches, and manages administrative duties such as hiring, onboarding, orientation, performance evaluations, OPPE/FPPE, etc. Represents APPs in external reviews like Joint Commission and American College of Surgeons.
Position is typically 50% administrative and 50% clinical, with clinical focus in area of expertise or as directed by the APP Director or VP of APP Services.
Note: This is a 40-hour position that may include off-shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. The role provides leadership within the specialty service(s), with potential expansion to other APP teams based on organizational needs.

Qualifications
Physician Assistant: Current Michigan license, ARC-PA accredited program, NCCPA certification, Michigan Controlled Substance License, DEA registration, BLS, 5+ years clinical, 2+ years leadership.
Nurse Practitioner: Michigan licensure, accredited NP program, DEA registration, BLS, 5+ years clinical, 2+ years leadership.
