Job Summary
Responsible for managing reporting APPs and APP supervisors, including activities related to patient care, service line development, quality improvement, strategic planning, and policy enforcement. Oversees APP clinical work to ensure adherence to scope and hospital protocols. Assesses staffing effectiveness, skill mix, and develops responsive staffing systems. Mentors, coaches, and manages administrative duties such as hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and compliance with OPPE/FPPE. Represents APPs to external review agencies like the Joint Commission and American College of Surgeons.
The position is typically 50% administrative and 50% clinical, based on expertise or as directed by the APP Director or VP of APP Services.
Note: This is a 40-hour position that may include off-shifts, weekends, and holidays. The role provides leadership within designated specialties with potential for expansion based on organizational needs.

Candidate Requirements
Physician Assistant: Licensed in Michigan, ARC-PA accredited program, NCCPA certification, Michigan Controlled Substance License, DEA registration, BLS, 5+ years clinical and 2+ years leadership experience.
Nurse Practitioner: Licensed in Michigan, accredited program, DEA registration, BLS, 5+ years clinical and 2+ years leadership experience.
