Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
• Three years of relevant work experience.
• Epic Wisdom and Ambulatory certification completed within 6 months of start date.
• Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical applications specialty area(s).
• Strong problem-resolution skills with the ability to diagnose, test, and implement solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and training skills across professional/technical levels.
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey technical information clearly.
• Strong analytical skills with documentation and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to work with senior staff as a technical resource.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements and supports clinical software, hardware, operating systems and / or distributed clinical information systems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Analyzes patient care workflows to develop IT solutions for improved system integration and functionality.
• Collaborates with clinical users on complex projects to modify workflow due to new releases and upgrades.
• Performs systems analysis, planning, coding, testing, implementation and vendor coordination.
• Troubleshoots escalated issues of moderate complexity and coordinates service between clinical engineering, IT, networks and vendors.
• Documents issues and communicates plans to address.
• Designs and conducts user training in clinical information system workflows and processes.
• Participates in development of policies and procedures to communicate issues to management.
• Assesses feasibility and estimates project time requirements.
