Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons seeks a Make Ready Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Merrillville, IN. You will restore vacant apartments to market-ready condition and support move-in deadlines. The role requires experience with drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and HVAC; HVAC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and HVAC is preferred.
• HVAC Certification or experience is preferred.
• Must own basic tools and have reliable transportation.
• Able to communicate professionally with residents and co-workers.
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning software and programs.

Responsibilities

• Restore vacant apartment homes to market-ready status.
• Complete full vacant turn process to meet move-in deadlines including drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and grouting.
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, garbage disposals, entry locks, windows; perform carpentry and tile work.
• Complete administrative paperwork as necessary.
• Assist with snow and ice removal as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
