Job summary

Greystar in Texas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ready vacant units for leasing by performing required repairs and upkeep to meet community standards.

The role includes completing make-ready tasks, caulking around fixtures, inspecting sheetrock, painting touch-ups, and maintaining grounds, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in general property maintenance and make-ready tasks.
• Ability to follow safety policies and work with limited supervision.
• Willingness to travel to multiple properties if needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to move-in.
• Caulk and seal around windows, sinks, toilets, and showers.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and repair/replace as needed.
• Perform touch-up painting as directed.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; assist with cleaning.
• Support cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Complete make-ready checklist and required maintenance docs.
• Attend safety meetings and follow OSHA safety requirements.
• Provide courteous resident service and respond to maintenance questions.
